Essential Business Designation

Governor Cooper issued Executive Order 121 (EO 121) on March 27, 2020. This order directs that non-essential business and operations must cease, effective on Monday, March 30 at 5:00pm, and will remain in place for 30 days. Section 2 of EO 121 identifies businesses that are considered “Essential Businesses and Operations.” If you believe your business is “essential” and you were not among those designated “essential” you may submit a request to The North Carolina Department of Revenue here. You may continue to operate until the Department of Revenue acts on your request.

Paycheck Protection Program
